OMG! Massive argument at work today about whether Avril Lavigne is talented or not. I'm pretty sure the only answer to that is 'who cares' but some of us appear to have been challenged to produce a number one record in the next 6 months ;-) I think it's time to involve An-D ;-)
I'm going to try to get hold of Bill Drummond's "how to have a number one record" and digest it tomorrow ;-)

OK, stuff I'm looking forward to:
Seeing Peter Kay on the 20th of March in Blackpool with a bunch of mates.
Andy and Paul (two of those mates) coming over to stay this weekend.
Seeing Otis Lee Crenshaw (Rich Hall) at Blackburn on March the 6th.
Stuff I've done recently. Er, watched the first episode of 24 series 2, or 24(2) or 48 or whatever its called. Seemed pretty good but lost interest with the first series so we'll see how long I stick with this for.
Watched The West Wing on Saturday. Series 3 seems to be quite dark and horrible. Series 2 is released on DVD in April (should have put that in the top bit).
Bought Battlefield 1942 for the PC on Friday.
Now, this is a game, mainly a first person shooter, set in , you guessed it, 1942. You take on the role of either an Allied or Axis soldier and choose your class (sniper, engineer, medic, soldier etc) and then go and try to beat the other guys off the map as a team.
The teams can be up to 32 players, the maps are massive, and best of all, if you get tired of walking you can jump into ANY vehicle nearby. That's Jeeps, Tanks, APCs, Spitfires, Destroyers and even Aircraft Carriers!!!!
All in all a brilliant game and highly recommended. The feeling of banking over your Japanese dive-bomber to come screaming down onto the Allied aircraft carrier only to release your bombs onto the planes waiting on the deck to pull up frantically to miss the tower by mere feet is amazing....
Thoroughly involving game and much better than A-A. The maps are enormous. If I set off walking from one corner of El-Alamein to the opposite corner on foot I reckon it would take around 20 minutes! Of course you could just get in a Spitfire, fly over to it in about 30 seconds and then bail out and parachute down onto the target (Yes! I know! How cool?)...
Music I've been listening too: Transformer by Lou Reed, Getting High On Your Own Supply by Apollo 440 and some DJ Yoda mix stuff.
Oh, and I see Google have bought Pyra, the people who developed the technology for Blogger. I think this will be a good thing as they will use Blogs as alternative news sources. I don't think the Blogsphere is in any danger.
That's it for now.
